River City Science Academy’s annual Florida STEM & Health Expo is an event unlike any other. It offers a distinctive spin on Florida’s conventional county science and health fair exposition. It provides the students among our six campus locations an exciting platform to present their scientific projects in a fun and unique venue, offering valuable learning experiences for families. This no-cost event, held over a single day, presents engaging science demonstrations, STEM educators, scientists, interactive experiences, fascinating robotics, advocates for community health, medical experts, dedicated community members, fire and police departments, engaging vendor booths, public servants, and a lot more!

Why
Our mission is to expose Florida’s citizens to the exciting and engaging world of science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and health to ignite their interests and motivation for these disciplines. We strive for early student involvement and STEM & Health reinforcement as they grow, so they are set to become successful STEM & Health professionals later in life. The STEM & Health Expo is our alternative to the typical County Science & Health Fair. It allows the students to get a chance to showcase their science work in a fun and unique venue, with learning opportunities for the entire family.
What
To accomplish the primary goals of the Expo, activities have been developed for participating students, teachers, and the general public. Participating students will work with their teachers and/or mentors to prepare a demo that they will present to the public at the Expo. The general public will have the chance to view presentations by local industries and universities that include applications such as solar energy, robotics and the like.
Why STEM?
Science is the essence of life, sparking curiosity, questions, and connections that define our world. It forms the foundation for understanding and appreciating our surroundings in fresh ways.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education embodies this spirit. It equips students with crucial skills in these domains, fostering critical thinking and science literacy. STEM education paves the way for innovators, driving economic sustainability through novel products and processes.
The impact of STEM is profound and omnipresent in our daily lives. It’s in the natural world, technology, engineering marvels, and mathematical applications. STEM shapes our experiences, fuels progress, and is pivotal for our future and that of our children. River City Science Academy has the right to decline any business partnership propositions for any reason, including but not limited to existing business partnerships with the same or similar company or being a company that does not align with RCSA Mission and Vision and conflicts with other businesses. All business partnership propositions are subject to RCSA Southeast Administration approval. RCSASE has the right to decline/remove any businesses/banners that do not follow our guidelines of appropriateness as deemed by the school administration.

Apply to be a 2025 STEM & Health Expo Vendor!
The expo will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at 8160 Baymeadows Way W. Jacksonville, FL 32256
- Vendor space is limited and will be given out first come, first serve by approval. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible to secure a place. Please note: turning in an application does not guarantee acceptance into the expo.
- Applications will be reviewed for acceptance and notification of acceptance will be given via email.
- There is a required donation for booths to help cover the costs of running the expo. Nonprofits are asked to pay $75 and corporations/other businesses are asked to pay $150. Donations are non-refundable. Any proceeds from this event will go to STEM projects for RCSA students.
- Vendors must notify of cancellations by January 31st, 2025. A $150.00 cancellation charge will be issued for any cancellations given after January 31st, 2025.
- Vendor areas are approx. 10′ by 10′. All areas are assigned based on vendor category and weather.
- Vendors must remain set up until 2:00 pm on February 8th, 2025. Any vendors that leave early will be charged a $100.00 fee.
- Areas must be set up by 9:30 am Saturday, February 8th, 2025, and disassembled by 4:00 pm on February 8th, 2025.
- All vehicles must be moved to designated parking by 9:30 am on February 8th, 2025.
- Vendors needing electricity or indoor coverage must say so on their vendor application for this to be guaranteed.
- Additional booth information, maps, permits, rules, and regulations will be sent out by January 17th, 2025.
- Vendors supply their own tables, chairs, and small tents.
- All vendors must have an interactive, hands-on activity to encourage student learning.
- Donations can be made by check, cash, or card. Make checks payable to River City Science Academy. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at 7565 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32216.
- Vendors must let us know if they plan to sell any products or conduct any sign-ups.
STEM Expo Businesses School Pay
River City Science Educational Inc., is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization as described in Section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donation, in return for which you have received no goods
or services, is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
